A new statement from the SL government, Somalia passports are forbidden for use any one who wishes to go to the Hadji can use the old Somali passport pre 1991
Its forbidden to sell or distribute the Somalia passport its made illegal.

No that is not true it doesn't matter the saudis accepted the old Somali passport for the Somaliland xujaaj.

Even though many Somalilanders particularly in the awdal and gabiley carry the Djiboutian passport and another percentage has the Ethiopian passport

What is the percentage going to the hadj in Somaliland any ways

What is so news-worthy about this ? Northern Somalia is still Somalia no matter what some may dellude themselfs into believing. I read on newssites in northern Somalia writing that the regional administration had already decided to use the new passports. This was a testing issue for the administration, and they now have shown that even they don't buy into this Somaliland fantasy. . I'm glad that they are joining the rest of us in the real world.

The walanweyn passport was rejected this made my day its forbidden in Somaliland Allahu akbar
Any one who is seen with that passport is risking to be jailed

I have a European passport i travel every where with my passport

They are using a Somalia passport, if its the old or not it dont matter.

idoor wa funny creature. they say somaliland and somalia is two different countries yet it is acceptable for a somalilander to carry a djiboutian, ethiopian passports but not the somalia one. I did not know djibouti, ethiopia was part of somaliland.

if somalia and somaliland are two different counties then we are your neighbor like Djibouti, Ethiopia so why arrest them for carrying somalia passport.

No its matters little boy, we are using the old Somali Republic passport not the new "somalia passport the distinction matters, meaning somlailand doesn't recognize any TFG or a national central goverment. These passport the old one is a legacy from the union not a new one. So it does matter.

Nope i am not i am a Somalilander from Holland my ancestors were not living in Holland
But we have a stake in Djibouti and Ethiopia there is a difference our people live in those countries for centuries

The passport is not about afweyne there were leaders before afweyne and the Somaliland and Somalia union was way before afweyne even wet his pants.
