Would you give to dacwa someone who is
someone who is openly gay whether a Muslim born or never been a Muslim.
say for example, the person likes sufism and attends sufi concerts, likes to visit ancient Muslim places yet has been ( at some point) openly gay.
or it is juts waste of time?

No, not a waste of time. Remaining in kufr is much worse...all other sins ilaahay ultimately forgives.

i dont understand what exactly openly gay means, but if you mean nin nin kale foolo or la foolo. if he stopped that sin and did a towbah , Allah most forgiven.
no more sin that shirk billah. and that always Allah forgives if they did towbah.

openly gay means someone who is known as a gay man in public not in closet activities. dadka even gaaladu waxey dhahan mar haduu qofku dibada soo dhigey gaynimadiisa caaqibo ma laha. qofka intuu qarinayo ayuu roon yahey.

Re: Would you give to dacwa someone who is
I asked a simple question. you can answer yes or no. maxaa aniga iigu dhaxdareysaa?
hyper,
Ok. so the answer is no then. no dacwah to them. because that is what i always thought. if someone is already gay there is not hope for them.
then i heard that you can still give them dacwah.

daiman, continue giving dawah. It should never stop. Allah has given every human to repent as long as they are life and the sun has not come out from the west. The notion of there being "no hope" does not exist in Islam, and it most certainly is not up to us humans, but to Allah. Do your best and have good intentions.
I'm always amazed at how humans who are -oft sinning- can easily dismiss and discourage other fellow humans from repenting because they think that person's sin is huge or unforgivable. At the end of the day, a sinner that is oft-repenting is ten-times better than one that does not repent and downgrades those who wish to leave their past behind. Humans are all sinners, and the best of them are those that repent. Focus on yourself, and don't let your small sins pile up to the point where a major sinner who repents is forgiven by Allah, while you end by being destroyed by the sins you saw as minor.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Beware of the minor sins which are often thought of as insignificant, for they are like a group of people who stopped in the bottom of a valley. One of them brought a stick, and another brought a stick, until they had gathered enough to cook their food. These minor sins, if a person is called to account for them, will destroy him. According to another report, he said: Beware of minor sins, for they will pile up until they destroy a person. (Ahmad; Sahih Al-Jaami’, 2686-2687)
