A friend of mine in Garowe told me A LOT of Puntlanders have left Puntland to start new business in Moqdisho, and each day a new wave are leaving their business behind to start fresh in Moqdisho. A sincere question to those guys and to all Daroods that went to go back to Moqdisho: What makes you think the Hawiye will spare them in the event of a civil war?

This whole "let's build our village" mentality that almost every clan has is just pathetic. A Somali shouldn't be bound to qabyaalad when choosing a place to build a house, you're Somali, you should live freely and proudly anywhere in Somalia. Sure it's "safe" living in your own "village" but this isolation only creates more qabyaalad. I don't really know your problem with Hawiye, and I don't really understand why you keep blaming them, but you need to grow up. It was civil war, we all and I mean ALL lost homes, and loved ones, don't put the blame on single group. So fuck qabyaalad, let every Somali live anywhere in Somalia they want.

They did actually well considering how the place is dry.The point is oncce the shit hits the fan, nobody will be spared and the 1991 will be childs play compared the next episode

You are making good points here brother. Somalis still don't trust the Hawiye and that's the honest truth. I can see how the Hawiye have grown mature politically, but old habits die hard, and when I see the general populace take responsibility in protecting the minorities nothing will work
