Im living there now...jobs are good altho im hearing that the next hot spot is in SK.
Standard of living is the same except u get paid more (depending on type of job ofcourse)
Price rices? food is a tad more expensive and some services too
Weather...its unpredictable throughout the day. oh and I hear the winter is far worse..hope u have a car...public transit sucks.

Im speaking bout Edm and calgary..Fort mac is way more expensive..u should move to calgary or edm then apply for camp jobs to fortmac..that way ur covered in expenses while ur working.

thanks man, i am trying to move out there to make quick cash then start school, there I'm sick of ontario and need a fresh new enviroment. moving in the winter times suck.

SK?,u mean SaskaBoom?? SK is still laying the groundwork for the boom, this is in 5-10 year forecast. AB is till the economic engine of the country..sooo much money floating through the oil sands and they're still inking billion dollar deals.

btw: u r working in the camps? r u a "hockey player" ? :mrgreen: only those working in the camps would know this. :mrgreen:
