left-footed players generally have better skill and technical ability than their right-footed counterparts, for instance, arjen robben the titan of the dutch, has the amazing skill of cutting in tight angles, a typical left foot tactic, only the legend johan cruyff could make a case against it.. with that said..messi is a great footballer, he can raise and reduce the tempo of his game in projectile motion and has great control (he doesnt beat zidane in ball control though). i read an article once and it was said that messi, outside of his football career, is a quiet and reserved individual who spends his time playing football games on game consoles and has a kickabout with the lads..this man proves to me that he finds football to be more than just kicking a ball, for him its a way of life (not that im promoting it btw) and hence he has done so much to perfect it. i mean come on, how often is it for messi to screw up in his perfomances?
on another issue, i believe barca do well to train their younger lots, the youth academy of barcafc is one of the finest in the world, just look at this picture, pique, fabregas and messi, all 3 players who play a crucial role in the team, though fabregas is more in the shadow than the other two, he isnt much but he is still a good contribution
