The patterns of the last quater of this year is simmilar to that of 2008, John Mcain's reputation was destroyed with some incident and hence Obama got the votes, Obama now's reputation is tarnished because of his soft attitude towards the middle east especially since the death of the ambassador.

For the past six months Obama has run an excellent campaign that has successfully portrayed Romney as an opportunistic vulture capitalist and snob. I doubt one bad debate performance is going to spell the end of his presidency. Also, national polls are overrated.
