Garbahareey!

Post by Murax »

Although Gedo is the region in Somalia with the most towns that are along a river I'm not a big fan of rivers. I'm scared of crocadiles and I don't like mosquitoes. My ideal landscape is a coastal area and if thats not possible the landscape of Garbahareey, a flat land with Hills, I find the surrounding landscape here beautiful :up:

Murax;
When do Ilka-yar nation stop the fantasy? When are you gonna tell Voltage to stop living in dreams and face reality. Garbahaarey is the capital city of Gedo and Walaahay oo bilaahay, it is not even a half of Dhoobley. I said Dhoobley; forget about the capital city of J/Dhexe Buaale, Jilib, Jamaame, Kismaayo, Xagar, Badhaadhe, Saakow, Salagle, Afmadow. Remember that Dhoobley is still considered as a village not a full district:
Here is Dhoobley

Here is the capital city of Gedo; the pride and joy of Ilka-yar nation and the Prozac boy would claim that there are more people in Gedo than Jubooyinka :mindblown:

If Dhoobley grew Mashallah that is great and I'm happy for Reer Dhoobley. What does Dhoobley have to do with Garbahareey though?

Fyi, Garbahareey is probably still and definitely at the time of MSB AUN the smallest town in Gedo behind Beled Xaawo, Luuq, Baardheere. The reason it was made the regional capital of the region was not because of devlopment but because it is the most central town. Just like it was agreed in the Jubbaland shir Bu'aale would be the Capital because it was the most central town, not because of its size.

When Gedo was sliced from Alto Guiba, the biggest Mareexaan city was Gabahaarey. At that time, the population of Mareexaans in Baardheere which is the biggest city in Gedo was less than 5% and it was exlusively Cawlyahan and RRA city. Even now, Baardhere is a city with three clans; Mareexaan, Cawlyahan, and Raxanweyn

Tell Voltage to shut up or come with real numbers. The other night he did a research and found out that all Absame in Jubooyinka and NFD total 20,000 :lol: :lol: :lol:

Reer Baardheere was always Reer Baardheere whether it was the Yemeni community, Raxanwein, Sade, Cawlyahan, etc and there not into qabiil. You're not Reer Baardhere :ufdup:

Guhad-

Garbahaaray is a town only one sub-sub-sub-subclan of Marehan live (reer Siyaad of the reer Diini). Beyond that it is one of a dozen Marehan towns in Somalia. Ogaden only has two towns in Somalia: Afmadoow and Dhooblay. No other "towns". Afmadoow is the same size as Garbahaaray (which is settled by men I count 6-7 names from---I am rer Siyaad Diini).

Dhooblay is the only other town and Murax don't let this guy fool you. Dhooblay since 1991 was the refugee exodus point of Somalia. There are a lot of UNHCR facilities and even Kenyan containment centers. That town although probably still a little smaller than Beled-Xaawo has half of its facilities as abandoned WFP warehouses and UNHCR containment centers. Dhadhaab the biggest refugee complex in the world is only a stone's throw away. Everytime there is a massive refugee movement anywhere in southern Somalia, Dhooblay's storage and refugees centers fill up. The famine was the last great example.

Like I said, it is quite obvious the town of Caabudwaaq contains more than all Ogaden in Somalia and even a good chuck of the ones in sparesely settled southern part of NFD settled by Ogaden.
