This brilliant country, the Republic of China is an advanced, democratic Republic in East Asia. Unlike its neighbor, the People's Republic of China, it is a free, prosperous place that respects human rights, freedom of religion and takes care of the welfare of all its people.

Somalia should pursue closer ties with the ROC than with the PRC which has strong relations with our traditional rivals: Kenya and Ethiopia. The ROC will also fund massive proejcts and share their technical know how. By allying with Taiwan, we can avoid supporting the Godless Marxists of Beijing who oppress our Uigher brothers. We also are able to muster the vast quantity of technological know how. form solid business relationships, and learn the best practices of managing a vibrant economy using meagre natural resources.

I saw a program on their healthcare system which is one of the best in the world. All digitalized, computer records on a single health insurance card with prompt reimbursements for providers.

What is stopping most Africans and including Somalis from building their own infrastructure. Why is it that we are unable to purchase the necessary equipments (or even start to make heavy-duty vehicles), train/educated the local farax, and start constructing roads, government buildings, educational/medical institutions, etc?

Sometimes the long road brings more prosperity than the short/fast road. People often argue that outside investment is more beneficial or we are not ready to do this right now because we don't have the knowledge, labor force prepared or the necessary equipments. No one was blessed with everything from the beginning, but everyone started from somewhere.

I believe South East Asian nations are number 1 right now especially in terms of infrastructure. South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, China, Singapore and even Taiwan. The yellow man truly has surpassed all, including the west. I was watching a video of Tokyo's automated train system at night and seeing those buildings I thought to myself how can some men be so advanced technologically whilst others still fight over water wells and shanty towns (Somalis)?

I am not promoting begging but trade instead of aid. We open up the markets and have the Taiwanese invest in Somalia and make them pay a royalty, provide inkind technological training, skills exchange.

These Asians who are so great and advanced nowadays live in work obsessed, high stress environments. Would the average Farax exchange his khat and laid back chill lifestyle in Somalia for a salaryman position in Japan? I doubt it.
