All every one talks in Somaliland is dooraasha golaha deegaanka when i was there every businessman every shop owner every bus driver had a sticker of a guy that is supposed to from one of the said parties or a guy they were supporting. To many conferences and soo dhaweyn parties for these so called council candidates in November there are local elections not a bad thing but after the local elections we will have parliamentarian elections in December 2013. So between November and next December 2013 there will be full preparations of the new parliamentary elections. After the Parliamentarian elections we will have the Guurti selections in 2014
This is madness and in 2015 there will be Presidential elections. There is huge unemployment in the country there is lots of potential to create a viable economy in Somaliland but we lack the skills the ideas at least the leadership of Somaliland are to lazy to address this issue.
The private sector is booming in Somaliland and doing business in Somaliland is going the right directions how ever not where we want it to be but this also because we have major shortcomings we have no clear policies even if there are policies they're not sharp enough Our tax system is barely organized major corporations in somaliland pay limited tax. I have been to Somaliland this summer so many students graduate from the universities and they're are so full of energy boys and girls and its still hard to create jobs for them why because we are looking in the wrong directions even a UN coordinator for UNICEF such a silly job is given to some white kid from Kenya. We should invest in IT and technology there is one guy from borama who set up an IT company in Somaliland. Heck we have such a long sea coast line and there are only 3 fishing companies in Somaliland owned by Somalilanders. Next door they are manufacturing cars with limited investment the car parts are being important from the Netherlands.
The Kulmiye government objectives as they promised we yet have to see what they promised the people of Somaliland
Creating jobs for 70% of the youth who are below the age of 35
Ranking the Somaliland military officers
Securing the Somaliland boundaries
Organizing the tax system of Somaliland
Basic infrastructure in the country in the main cities
Establishing a Somaliland national owned airliner
Somaliland dejure recognition
This is what the Kulmiye party promised the people of Somaliland they have 3 years left
