cheeseburger - 2.20
large fries - 1.00
vanilla shake - 1.25
mog-dubai return ticket - 500.00 (just for the burger)
one nite hotel room - 110.00

first bite after all airport security harassment, long and pleasant travel on a Russian 1956 plane - priceless

that's my plan

Warya, I once ate a camel burger in a restaurent in Minneapolis at it was really nice. Why don't you open a Camel Burger franchise in Moqdisho? that camel burger was obviously from Australia and I am pretty sure Somali camles taste way better if seasoned right. :eat:

Waryaa, is the return ticket from Mogadishu to Dubai only USD500? That's tempting! :ehh:

But you have to have a Western passport to be able to go down town, innit? For the normal Somali passport holder just can't travel to Dubai without having some sort of visa, right?

twist, yes, mog/dubai - i am not sure about current price though. I think it is extremely easy to get UAE visa with a somali passport.

The only time I have been to anywhere near Dubai was 10 years ago (From Dubai Airport to Qatar, from there to Syria and back to Qatar and then again to Dubai & had to catch a ferry/boat from Dubai to Iraq, which was about a week back and forth in airports) and that's an experience I'll never forget intaan noolahay.

Warya,

I knew these chicks who owned a small eatery that made awesome burgers, quesedillas, calzones etc @ this small joint in Hargeisa. The burgers were awesome (they even used Heinz ketchup). I always used to stock up on the great cheese selection: american, mozarella, etc before returning to GLK. Hargeisa was my R&R spot:

Burger - $3
Fries - $2
Soda - $1
Hotel - $15
Khat - $15
Pizza - $12
Cheese - $5
GLK-HGA-GLK ticket - $160

Living a normal life for the weekend= priceless

Hargeisa
