Usually when my relatives or friends come over even my family, Whenever I am trying to make myself something delicious to eat, I offer if I can make it for them and they usually say no. But the minute I sit down with my plate they hoover around me and eat all my food. I hate this. What is wrong with Somalis? My non-somali friends never do that. Either they ask me to make it for them or when they say no, they don't come after my plate. I hate sharing food, point, blank, period.

I dont think thats a somali thing..that could just be the few somalis that u know.

I don`t see the big deal....I eat better when I`m sharing a plate.

I think you have bad dhaqan if your eating around people who are not.

You are Gaajo. I hate people who complain about food. I always have friends eating my food in restuarents and I don't see a big deal. Remember the person does because they know you!!

It's not good to eat around people who are not eating anyway, if someone says dont make me food I don't eat in front of them, I eat in another room unless its my siblings I can easily tell them to pee off and make their own food

A no should mean a no. This ask me "twice" nonsense is ridiculous.

Somalis have trouble with self-control. I know few people that stick their mouth and hand into my food every chance they get. No manners what so ever! And the worst part is that most of them are not even hungry.
