Took grandma to the dentist bc she been complaining of toothache since last week. I'm in Nairobi as you know(keep that in mind). The place I took her to is for upper class folks. The doc Dentist looked and appeared pretty professional. The set up of the equipment theatre looked as up to date as any Western country would have. Up to that point things were fine. We madde grandma sleep on her back on that chair-bed that dentist usually have. He walked me through her problems. He said 2 teets gotta b taken out today(price for each 2k shiilings each). I only one question. Can someone in an advanced age as her go through this? He replied "yes it is normal". The first tooth came off so easily. On the second tooth while he was pulling it I heard something break. I asked him "did it break" and he said "yes it has broken". This doc spend the next 20 minute pulling scratching strategizing to take something out. In all this time my grandma is agony(yes he used aneasetia) but still she growled and flared her legs all over the place in pain. I could only think abt the blame I wld b getting from all her 65 chilren nd grandchildren if she died on that chair.
Long story short the doc finaly pulled out somethinmg. I looked at it and said "this aint no piece of tooth" and he was like "it is a bone fragment, the tooth was so entrenched in the bone"..The nigga had the nerves to say that he actually pulled a whole area of grandma's bone structure to pull a effing tooth. If ur a dentis or a med person, what s ur take n this shit?
