PS: The only one I have (actually I have that book for over 16 years) is Mariam Arif Qasim's 'Hostages: The people who kidnapped themselves'.

First book i read on Somalia was Shariif Cayduruus' book shedding light on Somali history.



Not bad but very subjective and opinionated.

Abakar, the book is dedicated to him as part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of UDHR (universal declaration of human rights)- Somali campaign.

I have not read 'gelbiskii geerida', will add to my list tho. Thanks bro.

I got this book back in 2008, very informative about some chapters of the civil war in the former Somali republic.





For history regarding the Somalis i have several books, one of them Futuh AL-Habasa The Conquest of Abyssinia.
