Marriage question.

Post by haxxor »

How long should be the period between the first time you meet the girl/male and marriage? And what should you do when in between of that period?

It all depends, I know friends who knew each other more than two years before getting married, I also know a friend who met her husband and married him with in three weeks. She just knew he was the right person. I know that religious people tend get married sooner because they want to avoid all haram contact.
As far as to what happens in between the time of meeting the person and the time of marriage, I guess that is the learning period were you learn/observe the other person... how are they with their religion(yeh this to me is big deal) are they up were you want them to be...what do they value,,,,what do they like to do...do they have a job an education, money, ambitions etc...are you two at the same page.etc etc.....

Most of these things are unobservable unless you follow this person around all day. Talking to get know these is needed.

Bump.

i don't think there are rules of time....when you know enough of the person and feel comfortable around them, no need to prolong. make dua and go for it
