EU gives $200million to Somaia

In the first aid given to the new Somali Government, the EU has agreed to give in the amount of 200 million dollars to the bankrupt government. This is a good sign and just before the first cabinet has been named.

This is just the first of the tidal wave of aide that will be given to this government. The EU has publicly shown that it is confident enough that the government can handle such expenses on it's own, especially since Somali's have a bad reputation of corruption. This also gives confidence to other donor countries and organizations.

This also explains the bold moves that the government has been taking recently.

I predict that the government will see about 1 billion dollars for it's first year in aide and revenue.

200 mil is extremely generous for aid, especially to a failed and corrupt state like somalia. don't see many countries that will surpass that.

So where does the EU manage to get 200 million Euros and spend it on a failed state on the other side of the world? Talk about getting your priorities wrong.

If I was white European i'd be pretty pissed that my country spends such an amount, along with other EU nations - on failed states whilst the economy here gets worse and worse every day.

Surely the EU has secured luxurious contracts in exchange for this ridiculous 'donation'.

The government like AK said should make rebuilding professional army its priority in the coming years.

50, 000 should be enough to tackle any domestic problem and send all foreign soldiers back to their country.

Europe doesnt give a F about skinny Somalis. Besides they are in financial crisis. So its better to use those money on Spain, Greece and Portugal.
