Official 2012 US Presidential Election Thread

Tomorrow night is the day.
Nate Silver has President Obama with 86% chance of winning the election with his statistical analysis of the state polls.
http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/
It's like a Football game with one team leading by a a field goal with 30 seconds left. Every second that goes by their chances of winning start rising dramatically. Expect that number to be over 90% by Monday evening I think.
Real Clear Politics, which is right leaning has Obama up narrowly in the averaging of the polls nationally. Obama has a clear advantage in the electoral map as well.

Discuss.

Romney has a shot, I will not be surprised if he got to 270. But its looking less likely
The Senate looks to stay blue, I voted against my Senator running though and supported an independent in the early voting.
The House is going to stay Republican.
Looks like more of the same once this race is done... the fiscal cliff is going to be on my birthday (12/23).. massive spending cuts if a deal isn't reached

I co-sign X.Playa and what he's saying is right.
I will say and the third party candidates like Jill Stein have also said this... and that is, if Romney wins and he has a Republican congress, it will bring the downfall of the economy much more quickly as the ruling class want to proceed with historically low taxes, cutting of social programs, and making people desperate to work for little so that they continue getting richer and richer.
If Obama wins, then the situation is kind of band aid for now as he can't do anything with a Republican Congress and the Bush tax cuts will expire soon which means all tax rates will go up.

Obama needs Ohio badly! and if he gets that it is a deal done. Where is Voltage? Few days ago he was saying Obama will win Virginia and as of this morning, the polls show momentum for Romney. This is a red State and remember that.
Obama will win the election by winning the contested states of: Ohio, Wisconsin, Nevada, Iowa, and Colorado. In Colorado I read that the president spoke over 20,000 people in Aurora Colorado in midnight last night. That is amazing.
Mitt will win: Florida, Virginia, New Hampshire and will lose the election.
It is going to be close and anything is possible. Romney is getting over 73% of the white votes. They are mad and I don't know why

Obama failed in getting new revenues in hist first term. This country needs tax reform and there is no way we can come back from this kind of deficit without raising taxes, especially for the wealthiest 2%.
FAH,
Do you think the US will strike Iran post elections?

Romney will win, not because of i support him, but because of his more eagerness against muslims, and his eagerness to help isreal, and his eagerness to attack Russia, and the eastern communist nations.
Mark my words Romney will win.

I disagree with both your statements. I highly doubt Romney will win. And secondly a President who is in his second term will be more likely to go to war or attack countries, then one that has to stand for reelection.
The US to attack Russia? What world are you living in?
