terror as flight makes emergency landing

Passengers' terror as United Airlines flight makes emergency landing after passenger 'starts PRAYING in the aisle'

A United Airlines pilot flying from Denver to Washington D.C. made an emergency landing on Thursday night after a passenger allegedly began praying in the aisle.
According to reports, the unidentified man refused to sit down and had become disorderly.
The attendant got the passenger to sit down but 'he got back up, then he was mumbling, then kneeled down in the aisle and he started to pray, and about that time a bunch of other passengers went back and they subdued him,' passenger Christopher Haag said.
Flight 662 was preparing to land at Dulles Washington International Airport in northern Virginia when the incident happened.

Eye witness: G.Cristian Camarena tweeted these pictures of law enforcement getting on the plane. left, and the rest of the passengers watching as the man is restrained, right

Emergency landing: When one of the passengers began praying in the aisles a United Airlines pilot broadcast it as an emergency and received a military escort to land
Once the pilot declared an emergency a military escort appeared to guide the Boeing 757 into a safe landing.
No one was injured and the passengers then left the plane without incident, having landed 13 minutes ahead of their scheduled arrival time.
The man who'd caused the disturbance with his religious outburst was removed from the plane in handcuffs by police and paramedics and taken away in a police cruiser.
However another passenger on the flight who was tweeting from the plane said today that he was not in fact praying but simply asking to use the bathroom.

G.Cristian Camarena tweeted yesterday from the plane: 'The guy rushed to the bathroom and refused to sit down. Passangers [sic] helped to subdue him.
'Passenger was restrained using the safety demonstration seat belt.'
He also tweeted a picture of law enforcement getting on the plane and the rest of the passengers looking on as he was restrained.
Today he wrote: 'Passenger was NOT praying. Unless one considers "I need to go use the bathroom" over and over some sort of chant or prayer...'
It's not known if the man has been charged with anything or if he's being treated for any psychological problems.
Post on Twitter following the incident speculated the disorderly passenger may have a emotional or mental disorder.

Safe: All of the flight's passengers were safe when the plane landed at Dulles International Airport in Washington DC
Praying passengers have been known to cause disturbances with their religious fervor.
In 2008, a bearded Orthodox Jewish man wearing a black hat and a long black coat was ejected from the back of a United Airlines jet shortly before take-off when he began praying and refused to return to his seat despite the insistence of flight attendants.
In that incident, the man claimed he could not stop the prayer until it was finished and attempted to return to his seat once the observance was complete.
The religious affiliation of the passenger on Flight 662 has not been publicized,
