However, Atlanta is home to the world's busiest airport that accommodated 92 million people in 2011. 92 million people used the Atlanta Airport last year, coming and going.

People use airports for transit, to visit a city, coming and going. Population of a country/city and airport statistics have nothing to do with each other.
