Now you know where my information has been coming from. The Sade in Snet know but for those who don't, Cali Madoobe is my father's uncle. My grandfather and Cali Madoobe are second cousins, children of first cousins, grandchildren of brothers.

I have mentioned his central position in Jubbaland formation a number of times:

The Jubbaland Technical Committee set up by IGAD and which has as chairman former Sheikh Sharif Police Commander Gen Ali Madoobe (Marehan) is right now in Kismaayo preparing for the local "declaration" meeting and ceremony.

Gen. Cali Madoobe is the most powerful man politically in Jubbaland and Kismaayo today. He was the Police Chief under Abdullahi Yusuf, then ambassador to Tanzania, then again as Police Chief under Sheikh Sharif. He currently manages the largest private security firm in Somalia where his security forces protect many in the Somali government in Mogadishu. By unanimous vote he was chosen as the Chairman of the Jubbaland Technical Committee which was organizing Jubbaland State the last 5 months.

Now the Ogaden media have picked up what I have known; he is the favorite and frontrunner for the first President of Jubbaland State of Somalia!!

Voltage is that all you have to say? Surely seeing the amount of top strategic positions occupied by Ogaden should tell you which clan is in the strongest position to receive the Presidency? What is there to contest sxb? This isn't Kenya or Ethiopia where those willing to do the bidding of Kikuyu and Tigray are given posts for domestic political reward. This is Somalia where the Prime Minister is Marehan, the Commander and Chief of Police are always Marehan (one of such post at least at a time) where Marehan live in more than half the districts of Jubbaland, and where the parliament of the state will have Marehan as the single largest clan representation just like Marehan are the single clan with with the single largest seat share in the Federal parliament and where even your Azania supporting websites are realizing a Marehan is frontrunner for first Jubbaland president. What is there to contest?

1. The President of Somalia has no say in what happens in Jubbaland so what makes you think the PM will? Especially when, between those two, the president comes across as the decision maker.
2. You are bragging about holding the leadership of a non existant governmental department as there is no such thing as a police force in Somalia. So tell me how many guns the chief of police and somehow most 'powerful man in Jubbaland' commands?
3. Once again you are over the moon for holding the leadership of a weak, non-independant and undisciplined entity, in this instance the SNA. To add insult to injury the SNA in the region is predominantly from the tribe you are attempting to belittle.
4. Having more districs than the Jubbas, thanks to the policies of the Kacan will not make a difference. The largest tribe in the region is Ogaden which lives in large numbers in both Jubbas and is also present in Gedo.

The lower part of your post is just the regular chest pumping therefore I will ignore it. Until then please respond to the points in my first 2 posts and try to leave the bravado at the door. The key word here is Reality.

rep, i PMed one of the folks here sometime ago that Mogadishu will never allow Puntland-like Jubaland and they have their own initiative with Adan Madobe as the president. This is an old news to insiders.

If you see him get that post, then the president's plan has worked.

I have known of this for a long time, just surprised to see Ogaden media wake up to the reality I have known. I know the Pesident, PM have no qualms about local rule. They just oppose not a "Puntland-like" Jubbaland but Jubbaland that is a puppet to Kenya. I have said multiple times Marehan support the FORM of the present Jubbaland, the political war was based on legitimizing a truly Somalia Jubbaland rather than Kenyan Jubbaland. Ali Madoobe has been working with the Prime Minister and the government to exert pressure on Kenyan usurpation of the project.

Ali Madoobe will bridge the Somali government, local stakeholders includng Marehan, and IGAD including Ethiopia and Kenya. He has been the frontrunner for a consoderable time.

rep, the president ain't no patriotic than any1 else and the real dispute is not about what many ppl think. It is about $$$ and power. This confrontation reached its highest level when raskaboni/kenya tried to get about 4 million bucks from charcoal export business and Mogadishu demanded its share. Finally the president didn't get what he wanted and tried to put the port under embargo which fell short. The other thing is that in fear of future challenges like pland and sland, Mogadishu politicians agree unanimously not to let Kismayo have its semi-antonymous admin. It is very clear.

Kenya = bad, Ethiopia/Uganda = good - is just is just fake excuse.

All stake holders must agree on something otherwise it will end up in shabab's hands.

To be honest with you Waryaa neither the President or Mogadishu matter. There are very private things I would never divulge here but I know the only person that matters for the Jubbaland group in Mogadishu is the PM and he will give political legitimacy by coming to Kismaayo at the start of the conference. As for the state of things rest assured Marehan as a group more aware of many things and have planned hard to circumvent.

I don`t have much faith in the PM. All he has done so far is rubber-stamp whatever the "president" orders.
