A FURIOUS mum yesterday asked why her family of five is crammed into a single-bedroom flat while their council gave a Somali family a £2million mansion.

Hard-working Claire Marlow-Gadsden, 29, has been on the waiting list for a house for five years.
But, just a mile away, a Somali family on benefits has been given a Georgian townhouse in a street next to where Tony Blair lived before moving to No 10 — as The Sun revealed.
Claire said her family is set “to explode” in their third-floor Islington Council flat, which has just three rooms and a bathroom.
She lives in North London with partner Jay Foran, 31, and sons Tommy, four, Harry, 19 months, and baby Charlie. Claire said: “I am at my wits’ end. There is not enough room for the children to develop. When they are let out it is like letting birds out of a cage.

“The council come up with problem after problem to keep us trapped. You see people that don’t do anything getting these huge homes.” Shop worker Claire pays £45 a week towards the £112 rent from the £500 a month she earns. Decorator Jay can’t work due to back trouble.

A SECOND Somali family of ten on benefits is living in a £1.4million pad thanks to a council.
Ahmed Mohamed, 38, wife Fartum and their eight children have a six-bedroom, three-storey house in Wandsworth, South West London.
The £1,376-a-month rent is partly covered by housing benefit. Refugee Ahmed also juggles two jobs. It can cost £6,000 to rent privately.

...so she is nevertherless on Benefit as she only contributes just about 1/3 of her weekly rent. may be the husband does not work? that is why they are still partly on benefit. i get less than 300 a week and i pay the full amont of my flat which is 120 a week pluc the council tax.

but does the nationality of the family matter? how that is relavent to her case? she is ugly by the wya, how comes she has beautiful children? i hope she starts working full-time when the younger one reaches ten and that she did not produce more children.

Dude works 2 jobs and gets some of his taxes back by way of benefits (granted he probably gets more back than he pays) but still... it is so unfair to single him out like that. I get the feeling this article was written ages ago though. How embarrassing. These people need to learn to keep their affairs private.
