from Indian chapati , bariis and rooti , Italian farmaajo and pasta to Ethiopian anjeera ,
I mean i could not find a single food that originated in Somalia or unique to only Somalis other then Muqmad also known as Udkac for Konfooriyan folks :)


am i missing something people ?

p.s when i say Somali i mean Labo go'le , so don't bring reer xamar iyo Somali bantu food .

i did a lil research and what i got from it is that most of the authentic somali food are meat related...not so much the carb side (which is more recent influences).
One site even said the pastoral somali used to drink Ghee (liquid butter)...y werent these ppl fat? :lol:

Xariisad, the one they sell in hargeisa, i know xalwa is in the carabta but they didn't make xariisad. :stylin:
