i did a lil research and what i got from it is that most of the authentic somali food are meat related...not so much the carb side (which is more recent influences).
One site even said the pastoral somali used to drink Ghee (liquid butter)...y werent these ppl fat?

Xariisad, the one they sell in hargeisa, i know xalwa is in the carabta but they didn't make xariisad.
