Honestly, I think he should keep his lyrical content about his refugee experience. Troubador was a great album but he just went downhill with his last one  . I never understood why he never got any major features on any of his songs. Imagine k'naan featuring drake or lil wayne. that would be great

That was a beautiful article, I specially liked the whole flow of it. Somalia is indeed a nation of poets.

Saxiib,

Nas is not a relevant rapper these days. He hasn't even been significant in the past 5 years. He is a legend, yes but he hasn't modified his content for success to level Jay-z has.

Nas has been on a 2 yr haitus' came back earlier this yr and hit number one hit+album in july dude is a monster, his legacy tops these rockies you've mentioned. His defly a force to be reckoned with, k'naan did a good job collabing with Nas.

Nas hit his prime in the 90's!!! Even though he released a new album he hasn't been relevent in a while. don't be so nostalgic of his glory days

Game Over and Paid in Full, read it and watch it. Today's rappers lack realism. They're playing catch up.

Nas was only sick in Illmatic after that he turned into a full blown illuminati.

Anyways back to the topic, I commend K'naan for reevaluating himself and I look foward to hearing his good old Somalia-civil war vibe again.
