Did Egal create Saaxil by annexing parts of Awdal

I know this is the case for Gabiley State which Sacad muse got. Damn Gudaboursi need to stop loosing land to Habar Awal, and recently the lugahaya case its a sad case really.

I read from articles from years back written when Saaxil was created last night i will find it soon. By NYtimes and also archives from Garxajis Vs the rest war i didnt know western media was reporting on this on conflict.

I don't know about annexing but apparently Habar Awal do live in Lughaya district. They gotten an MP in that district in the recent council elections.

guys lets not confuse clan borders with province borders... clan borders: Gadabuursi reaches as far as Gabiley. there are more gadabuursi in Gabiley than Isaaq in Lughaye.

True that. My neighbors are Gaadabirsi and they are from Gabiley and infact they told me they are related to Mo Farah, the runner. Who's both grandmothers are Gaadabirsi.

Well that still doesn't change the fact Lughaya district of Awdal is shared by several sub clans. Furthermore according to reliable maps the border
between Awdal and Waqooyi Galbeed is outskirts of Ceel Sheekh not Bulahar which is further east.

if Lughaya is shared so is Gabiley.

Gadabursi only settle in a few villages on the border such as ceelbardaale which is the meeting point. Its laughable to say that they reach up to the city of gabiley - they do live there but not as a deegaan but as relatives to JB families, same way isaaq live in borama and saylac.

Its actually Afweyne who gave habar awal land to Samaroon when the Awdal region was created along Sool under the advice of Jaamac Jengali as he put it " to make the Isaaq a sandwitched" by arming Daarood and Gedabursi clans.

no you are wrong,, theres nothing called relatives Gadabuursi live not only in the surroundings of GAbiley but town itself as well which even makes the waqooyi galbeed province even shared, Ceelbardaale is out of the question. Isaaq in Lughaya district only co-exist with Bahaber muuse (maxamed casse) and xeeb jire (Habar affan) in ceelsheekh and sabwanaag they don't even reach Lughaya town. Lughaya twon is a majority Maxamed Casse and few Ciise.
