Whats the policy towards photos of dead people ? I was digging through my hundreds of photos stretching from the 70s to 00's. Dozens of people in those photos are dead. Should I keep those photos ? What about former lovers ? Keep or chuck them ?

There are few Hadiths that say one shouldn't keep pictures of people who passed away. But honestly I have few pictures of my parents that I just can't let go of......but that's just me.

You can keep them as long as you don't display them overtly is what I heard Allahu A3lam laakiin

AW, I had a very brief moment about a decade ago that I turned into 'Five day sheikh' & I destroyed plenty of photos & music tapes & I regret doing that to this day.

PS: I have one pic of my sweat-heart back in Mogadishu who is married with children now (she wanted to have future with me but I was a kid playing with my willy & had my school fees & books bought for me, let alone getting married & being a responsible husband and father). Life!

5 day wadaad ? Looking through my suitcase of photos was a trip down memory lane.

I am just worried that these photos of my previous romances could be used against me. You know those snooping g/friends. The future wife may have a fit.

Yeah, there was that time when I was a teenager & kinda felt like, "What about haddaan surwaalka gaabsado, take some hadith classes in the local masjid & stop chasing chicks & listening to music etc?" Well, it was short-lived.


But, if there's going to be a wifey, or even a jealous & tempered gf, it's good idea to secure them & even send them to some other location in a locked safe or something.

Same thing happened to me. I'll never be able to find those songs again.

Maybe you could keep the pictures with the attention of making dua for the people who passed away.
