My week of sickness.

Post by The`Republic »

I rarely get sick (alhamdulilah) but when I do, it seems one ailment after another follows each other.

Early in the week woke up with a really bad sore throat and if it doesn't come with a cold, I know it is a sign of gastroesophageal reflux disease attack to come. Sure enough GERD came by the day's end and didn't sleep that night. I was throwing up bile. It is weird to describe the sensation I feel when having GERD...the closest I can think of is that time when I was 9 and I accidently drank liquid detergent and it felt like a sea of bubbles and discomfort inside of me plus constant nausea and reduced control over swallowing, breathing, etc.

So I coated myself with

Day

On the third day when the attack was receding, I woke up to a full blown cold or flu. The fully monty..sneezing, running nose, etc

So I coated myself with this for two days

Today I woke up without cold symptoms but I could hardly breath. Cheest wheezing and sharp pain when I breathed. I automatically coughed and the pain was excruciating which was because phlegm was being dislodged from my chest. So now I am pretty sure I have bronchitis (last time I got it was after another GERD attack)

I'm thinking about going to get this

If you think you have bronchitis, go to the doctor. If they suspect you might have something serious, they might choose to do lab tests to check for other conditions.

If your condition doesn't go away, I'd go to the doctor. And plus, they usually have stronger medication in their office to give away which is why is I personally never by over-the-counter meds... they are sometimes not very effective and a waste of money.

Must be the Ogaden syndrome, as Colonel would say. Maybe it's Stage-2, JVA reminisce disease.

Gerd episode is something i wouldnt wish on anyone.Having acid wake u up isnt fun at all.

U should fix the underlying issue.Stress seems to be a major one.

Nothing does u better than a drug induced rest.

Tuushi I agree acid reflux attack is something I wouldn't wish on anything. Getting it with bile reflux is more painful than Cancer I think. My dad today was like if they can't fix you here, I gotta send you to India cuz I'm pretty sure they have found it with all that spicy food in their spicy diet. :)

Where is Dr Koronto?

call your family doctor and make appointment. if you visit regularly check ups, he would know the underlines issue. as some one who is born with deficient red blood cell production. my immune system is very weak and got sick very often. my doctor calls me once a year to get flu shot. it helps a lot.

try to see your doctor and discuss with him/her.

in the main time, Allah ko 3aafiyo, ambi daafna kaga diko.
