Saving money & budgeting sucks Im currently spending too much money. Im losing the war against instant gratification.

Put yourself on a spending freeze. Don't buy clothes, shoes, cologne etc. unless you absolutely have to. Don't eat out, make your own food. This is probably one of the biggest expenses for people and they might not notice it. 8 bucks here, 10 bucks there, adds up pretty quickly. If you buy coffee regularly, quit. Don't go out too often, going out kills your pockets.

If you have credit cards, put them away some where and don't touch them. Those things are the devils work.

That's some good advice you've given there. I find that eating out and grabbing food on the go are two big expenditures. The main problem I've faced with budgeting is that something that throws the whole plan off-track always seems to comes up... going forward I might include in my budget a monthly allowance for "unforseen costs"
