Post by STARKAST »

What to do you value more ?

Being a Somali
Being from a politically created entity such as :dj: etc etc
You're Clan
Or being from a city/area such as Xamar

Try to be honest and brave guys !
For me its the obvious. :som:

I'm not a Qabilist or know anything extensive about clans but I would say I have the most pride in it because of its history and it gives me a sense of identity. I wouldn't call out any other clans to a debate or anything because I don't know it that much but it certainly is important regardless of the fact I'm a nationalist.

The fact that an ancestor of mine would treat me as his own regardless of anything but the fact we're of the same clan is very reassuring.

Being a Somali! Because no matter where you are, you can always count on a random Somali to help you out (despite qabiil or whatever). As psychotic as we can get sometimes, we all have this natural inclination to help each other, which I love

I value neither.

Somalis "helping each other" is not really an answer. Most ethnic groups tend to support each other when they're in foreign places, this is not a trait unique to Somalis.
