Let's hope it is not all talk but actually does something about it. On another news I am hearing the government is trying to implement a road tax system on all
cars that use Hargeysa district roads and that money will be used to build the infrastructure. However knowing there is a lot of corrupt officials in the ranks they
might steal it.

bariis Why is the Gov saying they are carrying out something that already existed then lol? War ileen tuugo ma xishooto.

Somalistan What is needed is not only proper road paving but also road drainage holes. Hargeysa rains a lot, if the roads are to be protected
from rain damage extensive road drainage holes are needed like this below. This seems to be the Achilles heel of many African cities,
they lack drainage holes in their roads.

Drainage to where? Unless some sort of sewage infrastructure is built it will literally be like sweeping the problem under the carpet. But I commend the new mayor on his proactiveness.

Abdi It is better than letting the paved roads be damaged by the rain.

Another cheaper option that the mayor should consider for certain parts of Hargeysa is cobblestone pavement.Cheap, doesn't get damaged easily and lasts longer.

Aishah You're right Hargeysa also needs proper roadside pavement so people won't walk in the middle of the road like most cities. That sh!t is so common in African
cities.

A couple of clay bricks and other larger bricks as a roadside pavement will do. Not hard is it, it is just some of our people are lazy.
