My Favorite Little Town In Somalia: Pics

Post by oxymoron »

Its the furthest northern point in all of Somaliweyn. Once the main capital of the Majeerteen Sultanates during the mid-1800s to early 1900s. Caluula in the Bari region of Puntland State of Somalia is indeed one extraordinary town. Not only does it have history, it has Mountains, rivers, lakes, farmland, nomands, fisherman and the great Indian Ocean all preserved in this one isolated corner of Somalia.

Mashallah nice place

Can you start calling Our Ocean its rightful name which is, "The Somali Ocean". Indians have nothing to do with it. Thanks in advance

Looks lovely.

So when you are standing in Haafuun, you are at the eastern most point on continental Africa and the first settlement to celebrate the New Year. Great tourism potential.
