So Barr Hiiraale's speech makes sense. Barre said Kenya occupies Kismaayo and he reiterated some understanding among Marehan that has been formed namely Jubbaland shall not be built until the entire land is fred from Al Shabaab and that the Somali government should have primary role in partnership with locals to decide the manner over foreign influence. He said there is no way Kenya or Ethiopia should be allowed to have anymore influence now that Somalia has succeeded getting back a government.

3. Marehan does not have any other problem except a political problem and that if Marehan united around for instance the Jubbaland pres candidate in attendance they will easily take the leadership of the state.
4. If however Marehan will not unite politically and control their destiny then they should step aside for evn a Somali Bantu to lead knowing today (his exact words) Marehan camels roam freely and forcefully between Dollow on Ethiopian border to Ras Kamboni on Indian Ocean and with the most investment in Kismaayo city.

Oh okay I thought it was a Marehan vs Ogaden thing because it was Barre Hiraale vs Sheikh Madobe.

Mohnig, Majeerteen use to be movers and shakers in Kismaayo, but that time has changed. It is Mj nostalgia that attaches them to Kismaayo, whether they be in Puntland or anywhere else. But on the ground in Jubbaland they are very small.
