Sxb, puntland has $2 Trillion in oil, that is like 5x Dubai's budget.

And btw, Somalia's offshore oil is more like $10 Trillion. 100x Dubai's budget lol.

It's a must. He can't say no and claim to be a PM.

Very bad move. There should be no legitimization of Faroole who is holding Puntland hostage for his own personal desires and ambitions. Especially at a time where there is internal political crisis that is going on, stifling of the press, detention of opposition, and censure of peaceful protestors.

LOL@ Farole or Puntland getting a legitimacy from a visit from the "PM". It is amazing how people take one side of a story as the ultimate reality on the ground.
First it was Abdullahi Yusuf who was the boogeyman who was blamed for everything that is wrong with Somalia. Now it is Farole who is the bad man because he does not kowtow to others agenda, hence he is bad. Despite the propoganda, Farole, got the 1 year extension through consultations and consensus by going through elders and mps. Certain elements are not happy with the transtion to a party system, and hence are expressing their discontent , nothing wrong with that, except for the sensational exageration and blatant lies of what is going on in Puntland. Unfontunately the likes of Horseed media has become the ultimate news source and the darling of all that want to see Puntland fail.

I sinccerely hope this government isolates Puntland for the next 4 years. Puntlanders needs to work on strengthening their self-reliance, capacity building, strengthening institutions, and implementing good governance. No need to be derailed by half-baked NGOesque policies for the time being.

On another note:
A question I always ask myself is: what qualifications do those who claim to be journalists have? It seems every third person in Somalia is employed as a journalist or a radio braodcaster. Packaged talk is a cottage industry that has flourished since 1991,
