He made the comments in his Investigate magazine column, citing that most terrorists are “angry young Muslim men who hate the West”.
“They attack us, our institutions and infrastructures, and our way life, and our values and beliefs and percepts (sic) because we are not like them,” says Mr Prosser.
He is calling for Muslim men to be banned from flying in aircraft flown by Western countries.
“The most greatest identifiable threat to Wester aviation security is posed by young Muslim males.
“If you are a young male – aged between say about 19 to about 34 – and you’re Muslim, or you look Muslim, or you come from a Muslim country, then you’re not welcome to travel on any of the West’s airlines,” he writes. He says his comments were based on Muslims being responsible for the 9/11 attacks and the London train bombings. Mr Prosser isn’t new to controversy. Previously, he has asked for burqas to be banned in public, compulsory army training for everyone and for the South Island to become a separate state.
