How is the welfare system in your country?

Post by Tanker »

here in Norway You will get free education including universities, every month the students even get payed by the government to study. If you are unemployed then you will get financial support from the government to have a nice living stanard, you will get great financial aid from the government for each of your children because the government wants the Norwegian people to have more children, if you are unemployed or do not have alot of money the government will help you pay the rent and your water / electricity costs. We have free health care even the most expensive operations are free for the population, if you need medical help in foreign hospitals the government will finance it. The Norwegian Constitution says that it is a human right to have free access to universities and hospitals. If you are old its the responsibility of the government to take care of you. The salaries are high and the unemployment low.( 2,6%) If you are sick or suffer from mental illness the government will take care of you. In return of all these services the government expexts the citizens to abide the law, pay their taxes, and all the men get trained by the army in 6 months so they are able to defend their sovereignty.

Norway ranks as the second wealthiest country in the world in monetary value, with the largest capital reserve per capita of any nation

Norway maintained first place in the world in the UNDP Human Development Index (HDI)

Foreign Policy Magazine ranks Norway last in its Failed States Index for 2009, judging Norway to be the world's most well-functioning and stable country.

The hourly productivity levels, as well as average hourly wages in Norway are among the highest in the world

The standard of living in Norway is among the highest in the world

Here in Denmark the student allowance is 920$ a month and you don't have to pay back a dime...plus we have a universal welfare system just like in Norway..

There is no free lunch in America, everything has a price and the price of being in the welfare system is a trap that no smart individual wants to be part of.

same here you dont have to pay back, however, not everyone will qualify for it, they first determine if your parents level of income is enough to support you or not.

It depends on one's income. If an individual or a family make certain amount of money per year, they would qualify for assistance. Most americans are hard working and would rather be able to pay for their education and health care rather than wait for gov't handouts. Health care coverage aint cheap either, my family premium for coverage is at $290 a month.
