Okay first a background, this is a programme chronicling how the Indians first came to Trinidad & Tobago.
It talks about how the British crammed them into ships like sardines.. many didn't even make the journey to the Caribbean because of the conditions they were living in that made them very sick, so they died. Wow, before this I did not know Indians were brought over as slaves. I knew they were brought over as ''workers' in various parts of the world like South Africa, Fiji, Caribbean but never did I imagine they were treated essentially as slaves.
