Gloves Are Off Puntland Takes A Firm Stance For Jubbaland

Post by oxymoron »

This Is Perhaps The Strongest Worded Press Release From Puntland, In Regards To It's Fully Non-Negotiable Commitment To Federalism.

The Federal Government Of Somalia Led By Hassan Has Been Given The Benefit Of The Doubt For Far To Long. They Have Been Given Freedom In Regards To The Jubbaland Issue. Today Their Failure Is Beyond Clear.

The Federal Government Is Suppose To Encourage Federal States Not Oppose Them Like They Are Doing With Jubbaland. The Federal Government Has No Constitutional Power To Oppose Federalism Nor Is It The President's Mandate To Create Such States.

Garoowe(RBC Radio) Warsaxaafadeed kasoo baxay maamul goboleedka Puntaland ayaa lagu dhaleeceeyey warsaxaafadeedka ayaa u qornaa sidan :

Meanwhile Bosaaso is under threat from the Warsangeli Liberation Front. North Galkacyo is out of control. And the Feudal Lord Faroole is busy turning away the public's attention to Kismayo. Great move by Feudal Lord Faroole

The south and their reer moryaan will be ineffective for at least the next decade, probably longer.
Meanwhile all the newly created federal states will be consolidating their power.

No lifting of the arms embargo will ensure Hassan Sheikh`s bark is worse than his bite.

I think Culusow has made a strategic decision from the get-go to alienate Puntland and their never-ending demands on the federal government based on previous administrations, just as a Ceydiid felt strongly being dictated and enslaved by the great dynasty decades ago. the educated abgaals have become tired of being led and given directives from Garowe as the basic foundation of this government, the constitution, is a living testament of the Puntland influences with the two Garowes and Galkacyo accords. This attitude though to be admired by some as well as his southern strategy, it is nevertheless a high risk and high stake gamble for a small government that is emerging from tribal conflict. This could backfire in a big way to Culusow for which he will not backtrack as fast he would like. Many have underestimated the resolve and the political manuevering of Puntland but have all failed. Culusow will be humiliated in a very public way and we are already seeing the first steps- a political entity that is independent from the federal government in his doorsteps that has the backing of IGAD, demonstrations against him and his ministers every time they travel, working against important UN resolutions, etc. Maybe Culusow should review the constitution again and now that the days of Xamar dictating everything and anyone are long gone.

First Culusow needs Puntland and not the other way around. The Politics of alienating has never worked in Somalia, so the guy needs a reality check. Seconding the only demand Puntland has of the Federal Government is for it to follow the Federal Constitution we all sign on and wish to be governed by it. Is that is too much to ask for?

The Constitution is the only thing that bonds us together legally and if it's not being followed than there is no Government. These were part of the agreements of Garowe 1 iyo 2 and the Galkayo Accord.

This is not an abgaal government but a Somali government that has a Federal mandate to fulfill. Puntland intends for the agreements signed that has brought Somalis together in a unified Government to be followed, no matter which individual or qabil is head of state.

Indeed the days of Xamar dictating everything are long gone. And there is no Puntland political maneuver, we have become the checking balance of Political Power in Somalia. It is a title well earned and deserved when one looks at the magnitude of sacrifices Puntland has made on behalf of Somalinimo & the Return of the Somali State.

Everything you see today was made possible by Puntland and it's leaders. From the return of Dawlad back to the capital city in Xamar. To a Federal Somalia.

If it wasn't for our hard work, Xamar would still be ruled by Warlords with no Government in sight. The Somalidiid would have been in a better political position than they are today. Give credit where credit is due, no Puntland = no Somalia.

 Ma anagaa been kaa yeelaynaa..you constantly speak of this federal constitution..does Faroole himself respect this constitution? Do you know as part of a federal state he is only a governor and he is not entitled to handle foreign policies of his region without dowlada dhexe? Why does he accompany private meetings with U.N. officials etc when it is not in his capacity to do so?

Sxb horaa loo yiri, la jiifiyaana banaan, la joojiyaana banaan. Waligaa ku ekaan maysid hadba inta laguu ogolyahay ee waxaad rabtaa ummada Soomaaliyeed inaad qas gelisid iyo dulmi.

Off course Faroole respect the Somali Federal Constitution his among the top leaders who sign for it and put it into drive. The Dowlada dhexe at the moment can't even handle ruling Xamar, its bankrupt and working with 1/6 of the Puntland budget. The local policies of Xamar is a burden on Dowlada dhexe. So until the Federal Government is strong enough, to actually rule, states shall handle their own polities and govern their regions.

Ummada Soomaaliyeed need leadership iyo guidance not nac nac. And the only dulmi to engulf the whole of Somalia has come from Xamar. From Dictorship in a centralized government base in Xamar to civil war to Warlordism to Terrorism. Balance of Power is what makes Government strong legit and prosperous. If the weak Parliament that meets twice a year can't get the job done Puntland will. :geek:
