Hassan Cisse Admits holding Talks with Government for the first time
The chairman of Haqsoor Hon Hassan Esse has for the first time admitted his party is engaged in talks with the government of President Silanyo, in a bid to solve an impasse on the results of the 28 November 2012 local elections.
Hon Hassan Esse speaking to reporters in his home said “Haqsoor is currently engaged in negotiations with the government to solve their difference for the sake of national unity”.
“The violate situation in Haridad is directly related to the 28 November 2012 controversial municipal election results in Saylac and Lughaya hence the ensuing mayhem which has put the peaceful coexistence of both the Isse and Samaron Communities’ in jeopardy “,stated Hon Hassan Esse
Hon Hassan went onto say it is a high time the government realizes the ramifications of the massive vote rigging in the local elections and the incompetence of the Electoral Commission which have destroyed the credibility of our democracy not to mention the failure on the part of the government to reach a fair political settlement.
Lastly the leader of Haqsoor urged both warring sides in Haridad abstain from violence and should instead solve the differences in a civilised manner.
This comes a day after skirmishes between the Issa and Samaron militias erupted in the town of Haridad for the first time.
