
Somalia: Prime Minister Shirdon visits Puntland

GAROWE, Somalia Mar 9 2013 (Garowe Online) – Somali Federal Government (SFG) Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon arrived in Garowe the capital of Puntland, to meet with President Abdirahman Mohamed Farole, Garowe Online reports.
In his first trip to Puntland as Prime Minister, Shirdon arrived at the Garowe International Airport where he was welcomed by Vice President Abdisamad Ali Shire members of parliament and other government officials.
After saluting the government officials and crowds of citizens at the airport, Prime Minister Shirdon was taken to the Presidential Palace where he met with President Farole and Cabinet officials.
Prime Minister Shirdon is expected to stay in Puntland for the coming days. Among many issues he and President Farole will discuss federalism, security, the constitution and other issues.
