Prime Minister Shidoon brings Puntland under FG!

In a unprecedented our through most of the regions of the Somali republic, Prime Minister Saacid Shirdoon has extended the influence and rule of his administration. Bringing the Federal government in contact and cooperation with the Somali people. A historic and unprecedent move, not seen in the last 20 years of Somalia's history.

In his most recent visit, he stayed three days in the capitol of Puntland, seeing first hand at the progress and development that the self-government of Puntland has made. An example of what self-initiative can accomplish. But there are limits to what a region within a State can accomplish alone. Through this understanding, the Federal Government of Somalia, led by the Prime Minister, and the President and Cabinet of Puntland, promised to work together.

Puntland has officially come under the Federal government of Somalia.

Some of the points of the agreement signed are:

1. A commitment to follow protocol. Such things as Puntland advocating for the arms embargo to continue, against the governments wishes.

2. A commitment to build an regular proffessional army comprised from all regions.

3. A commitment for the government to raise in status the army bases to national assets, and to run them. Including Puntland's bases.

4. In the immediate, to assist Puntland armed forces with logistic support.

5. A commitment to make universal tarrifs for all imports, and immigration services.

6. A commitment to implement laws regulating foreign investment, and resource sharing. Oil is the name of the game.

7. For the Federal Government, in accordance with the Constitution, to have a share in Port and Airport revenues.

8. To set up a committee to speed up and work on, the return of private property, to the rightful owners. Mogadishu property, that is in the hands of looters.

9. To bring all national assets whether in the country or outside, back to government control.

Without documental evidence, the claimer can shove the claim up in her/his arse meaning its not gonna happen.

And while we're at it let the government declare Xamar as a country of it's own( it can also keep the name Somalia too. Hurray for the government!) and break away from these so called renegade regions. And let's also built wall around Xamar just the separate it from "renegade regions" just for good measure.

I believe if Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Saacid can solve the problems in the south with out wasting their time on other things then they would have done a commendable job. Let them solve the problem in the south then we can talk other things.

Thats all it comes down too, even if their work extends beyond their whole 4yr term rebuilding and limiting these small talks among regional diverts is not important momentarilly, diligence is virtue.

Although calling them renegade regions is impractical.

Agentofchaos has the right idea. Like it or not, Puntland is an integral part to moving the country forward. How long could it be ignored without looking like malice or ill intentions? Especially considering their considerable governance and institutions bulding that is way ahead of the FG. Puntland at the end of the day has the same interests as the rest of somalia which they showed, which is security, governance, development, economical, and stabilty.

This is not a zero-sum relationship between Puntland and southern Somalia, but a complex relationship and integration that requires input from all sides for maximum benefit.

PO: i dont think we said this is zero sum game, I believe government in Mogadishu should 1st build state institutions that are capable or running the country, if Xamar is healthy Somalia will be healthy, for sometime we had PL and SL but Somalia was still a shit why? because it was sick in the head.

what is more, what does PL want? no body knows besides dont we have MP and ministers from that area in the government?


The government in xamar should stabilize the south in its 1st term, if it can do in two yrs fine we move to accommodate everyone other wise it is better to do small thing rather than hoping to build big and do nothing.
