I'm not too familiar with the Isaaq subclans, However, i do know the general tradition of Somalis boasting about the success of their Sub-clans. your statement is best judged in such context. The Isaaqs have generally fared better, along with the Majerteen & Abgaal because they are coastal communities. It could be your sub-clan benefited from such stability.
I will soon be writing a topic about why the majerteen & abgaal fared better relative to tribes from the same blood line. Suffice to say, living in the coast provided a huge advantage to the nomads roaming in the interior.
