What we hawiye will do if huge conflicts breaks out between them?
We will be the Switzerland on this conflict while being pro-Unity of Somalia. Yes we are the most wadani people, but still very critical of Darood.

There has never been a war between Isaaq and Darood. Those wars were always between respective sub-clans that lived in the border area between the 2 larger tribes; fighting over wells and grass lands. It was always the neighboring sub-clans that had never ending feuds.The sub-clans living in the the heartlands of the Darood & Isaaq tribes were spared of this trouble and they tended to fare better and lead their respective communities. You can see what neighboring the Isaaq has done to the Dhulbahante relative to the Majerteen, reer Isahaaq relative to reer cabdille, Isaaq subclans in the Hawd relative to the ones living in the interior.

With the Hawiye, the most successful subclan in terms of business & development are the Abgaal and they tend to live in the heartlands of the Hawiye tribes. This is just one aspect of looking at things. I am not glossing over the countless feuds between clans of the same tribe (ie Hg & Abgaal in xamar). In another topic, Professor Talo will attempt to explain why communities like the Majerteen & Abgaal seem to fare better relative to the other tribes they share blood lines.

We border the Dhulbahantes and have fared quite well but some of your logic makes sense. And that is the Darod who neighbour the Isaaq's have been effected far more because they have generally been in a defensive postition. This could be the general move towards south by Somalis as a whole and Isaaq's in particular.

Ps, the Marexaan we generally consider below Darods and the same as the midgaans they descended from.

I'm not too familiar with the Isaaq subclans, However, i do know the general tradition of Somalis boasting about the success of their Sub-clans. your statement is best judged in such context. The Isaaqs have generally fared better, along with the Majerteen & Abgaal because they are coastal communities. It could be your sub-clan benefited from such stability.
I will soon be writing a topic about why the majerteen & abgaal fared better relative to tribes from the same blood line. Suffice to say, living in the coast provided a huge advantage to the nomads roaming in the interior.
