After I graduate Geology MSc, insha`llah, I may look for a mining job in Oz.
what do you know about western Australia, Queensland and Northern Territory...A lot of the mining jobs are out there, particularly in coal mining.

they are looking for skilled mining workers but am not sure if they are hiring unskilled workers (obviously they will employ their locals to meet the demand).So, what is your major in geology (never thought a skinny will be interested in geology of all fields )

BSc in straight geology...MSc in petroleum geology.
A lot of the skill sets overlap, e.g exploration geology in both fields use sedimentology, biostratigraphy, structural geology etc.

The list of professions is not complete....if you go on the website of the Aussie geological society, as well as geologist associations, there is a huge demand for geologists, mining engineers and all skills related to extractive industries.

In the next few years there will be a dramatic expansion in the Aussie mining sector, as well as oil/gas from the Timor sea/NW Australia.
