Tuur what ever disagreements he had with his kin Habr awal, he is the honorable SNM mujahid and he is considered in Somaliland hargeisa burco berbera borama gabiley ceerigaabo and so on , as a noble man and a leader and a hero of Somaliland. Because the Mujahid was the leader of our people in hard times and he was very strategic and came with the policy to move the war to Mogadishu and hurt the government from there.

Even though i urge Galmudug to name their new airport after Caydiid, however there should not be statue for him or Monument . That is a bit too much.

I think it would be more fitting for Iidoors to build a statue for Caydid than Hawiyes. He was more of a hero for Iidoors than Hawiyes as he freed them from Darood shackles. It is also important to mention that his moryaan militia killed more Hawiyes than Daroods.

For the Hawiyes its better if they build a memorial statue for Mujahid cosoble the key founder of the USC in Mogadishu and since he is Mudulood. the abgaals will not have a problems with it and the HG and the rest of the hawiyes can relate to that. He will be a uniting factor if they want to honor their old Mujahidins

You guys are missing the point. Internal conflicts aside Mohamed Farah Aided was head of the USC who defeated the Siadist loyalists in the south
and defeated them in many battles and drove them to the Kenyan border. For that reason he deserves to be honored by the Hawiyes. The same way
under Tuur entire Somaliland was liberated and the remnants of the pro dictatorial government groups were punished under his reign in Sanaag
and Sool. Both are heroes to their respective communities as they destroyed a dictatorial government.

Well a monument isn't too much as long as it is not a statue (sanab). The one of Tuur is a structure with pictures, different kind of
monument. Islamic wise that is not Haram . In Libya they have a similar memorial place with pictures and structure of Omar Mukhataar.

Too much things were happening. Aidid, then warlord era, then UIC era, then Shabab era, and now government era. People were too busy that they forgot to honor him. With Tuur, his monument was built right away when the conflict was over. It wasn't that hard to forget him since the war up north ended up with Tuur and Egal. Nothing came after that.

But also.... Hawiye lack emotion. They don't care about their past even if it was an achievements. It's very strange.

But a Aidid monument can be built anywhere in Hawiye lands. It would be welcomed. Maybe Dhusamareb or Cadado folks can start first.
