The German Embassy in what was West Germany is not in that building. It's in a totally different area and is still home to the Somalia mission in a Germany. Soon when the time comes it will have to be Moved to Berlin the united Capital of Germany and this might become a consulate. Atleast we own still own it

Man I knew that building was too good

There isn't a very big Somali population in Germany, it would make sense to sell the building instead of making it a consulate and open up another consulate in a place where it is needed more.

You don't need a huge Somali population to have an embassy. Deutschland is the Economic power house in Europe and as such we need to have a consulate especially since Bonn is closer to the Industrail and economic heartland in Deutschland. Regardless the Embassy was actually illegally sold by the last Ambassador but we got it back. :stylin:

Yeah I remember hearing that our German embassy was sold by the last xayawaan. I wonder if there are any embassies yet to be recovered? Good to hear its back though and yeah that does make sense. Heil Deatschland, we need good bilateral relations with them.

What is the Somali population in Germany and which city has the most?

I was in Frankfurt back in 2008 and I saw no Somalis other than the family I visited. Its full of Turks and Kurds though. Ridiculous representation they have in Frankfurt

I saw a few families in Bonn too but not a lot of Somalis. A lot of Somalis in Germany apparently left for Scandinavia or the UK. There are so many Turks its not even funny though. My friend had this half German half Somali cousin :lawd:

Turks and Kurds are mostly in Berlin and not in Frankfurt. The reason why few Somali people are in Deutschland is because of the very stringent welfare system. Unlike other EU nationas Deutschland does not just give money and Somalis in the rest of Europe want to sit on their ass and chew qaad which will not work in a nation like Deutschland which is heavily exporting nation and needs its population to be very skill full. Once you graduate highschool one does not need to even go to University in the country but rather some will go to a vocational school in what ever area they want to work in. For example interested in Cars than the states and companies such as BMW will teach you the skills you need and once you graduate will just hire you, thus the population is very highly skilled. Somalis were never a lot there to begin with and mist were in transit heading to the Netherlands or Scandanavia. If you don't like working and paying for your own bills than Deutschland is not for you
