Somalis and Engagement Rings

I want to propose to my girlfriend, yes she's Somali. Normally i'd take the traditional Somali route BUT she's told me,on more than one occasion, that her friends (Somali and other muslims) were given rings, and I don't want her to feel left out.

Were you ladies given engagement rings?

Tell her straight " Do you want a dacas to the face" and then finish it off with "sharaab nayaa" . Don't forget theirs plenty more moos in the sea if you get angry

There aren't plenty of Somali ladies that have their own careers & that look like they've been photoshopped. :whew:
