A Black History Story A Day Keeps The Coon Away

Post by Guul13 »

Today's lesson: Mansa Musa I Of Mali aka "The Richest Man In History". (14th Century King)

Image

"With an inflation adjusted fortune of $400 billion, Mansa Musa I would have been considerably richer than the world’s current richest man, Carlos Slim, who ranks in 22nd place with a relatively paltry $68 billion."

"His building program caused an intellectual and economic expansion that would continue into the later Middle Ages. It also established Mali as an economic "global power" and one of the intellectual capitals of the world. Mali became well known attracting students as far as Europe and Asia. Mansa Musa is also credited with assisting the birth of Sudano-Sahelian architecture and the spread of Islamic religion in western Africa. His military campaigns allowed Mali to become the most powerful military on the continent rivaled only by Morocco and Egypt. His greatest legacy, however, was the hajj which not only caused an economic inflation in Mediterranean but indirectly supplied financial support for the Italian renaissance.[22]"

Mali's capital at the time, Timbuktu, was the WORLD'S CENTRE OF KNOWLEDGE. 8-)

Here is a link to the a sample of their Ancient mathematics & Astronomy manuscripts; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Timbu ... matics.jpg.
This is well before the European masses were literate. :blessed:

Take the xenophobic nonsense out of this topic! This is an educational topic on the history of what the European fraudsters call 'SUB-Saharan Africa".
