I am doing my research on my would be seediyaal. So do Oromo give Gabati/sooryo/Yarad for the girls?

Oromo Forumers,

I am talking about the dowry that men give to the girls family. Money, animals etc. Do Oromo do the same as well?

Yarad and sooryo are two different things.. I heard they accept 100kgs of canjeelo xabashi as sooryo and the yarad is 2 cows and nothing else!

What is the average bro? Incase they don't ask for anything, I want to give something back to them. What a reasonable dowry for an Oromo girl in america.

I'm not too sure how Oromo females are out in the states. It all depends on their iman.
Again it all depends bro, from what I hear none of them go over 15k.
If she's like most, you'll be fine. I know of cases were they would only ask for 500 and they'll be happy.
Treat her right and she will respect you by asking for little.
