According to the habargedir interior minister of Mogadishu,

The federal government has earlier made clear its position towards the Kismayo conference and I am now replicating it -- the government will not recognise the outcome of the Kismayo conference," he said, according to Somalia's RBC Radio. "Despite [the fact that] the meeting was organised by Somali citizens, the conference still lacks legitimacy and is against the country's constitution."

How exactly was the conference in Kismaayo unconstitutional? Does anyone know?

It's not unconstitutional if it was they'd cite articles as proof, I hope people will read the constitution for themselves.

I wouldn`t be to concerned what the Govt thinks.
Its not like they were supportive of a J/Land state in the first place.

As long as we can raise our revenues and provide security we will be fine.
I actually believe that not receiving recognition from the Govt is an advantage, as they will have no influence whatsoever.

The government should step aside. Let these people become Kenya's 9th province and let them foolishly give Somalia's resources to the Kikuyu. Swahili is basically an official language over there. If they want their politics to be dictated by Nairobi rather than Muqdisho, let them.

This gov shouldn't be blocking peace deals. It is their people and them as to why they want to depart.
