Al-Islah and Damuul Jadiid agree to re-unify

Post by Titanium »

Al-Islah and Damuul Jadiid have decided to re-unify after their previous sudden split which was caused by a leadership dispute. The photo above shows their meeting in Muqdisho over the weekend agreeing to set aside their previous beef/differences and unite under their old organization. It has been rumored that there has been outside Ikhwan pressure for the two organizations to re-unify, especially from the Supreme Guide of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, Mohammed Badie.

What exactly are these shadowy groups like Al Islah and Dam el Jadeed? Are they branches of the Muslim Brotherhood in Somalia like Hamas in the Levant?

Reading about the newer Dam el Jadeed reminds me of the AKP in Turkey, I wonder how much they are emulating or being influenced by them.

Whenever you hear of these organisations rest assured they`re based on self interest and self enrichment.
They operate as a type of unaccountable mafia/ secret society.....totally incompatible to democracy.

Yeah.....almost all Somali aid is sold by the people collecting.
The scam goes like this....get a few hundred IDPs...call the NGOs...get the aid....sell it through your uncles warehouse/pharmacy.
