Well one can't disagree with the reporter's assessment as they are written in stone.

Hawiye, whether it be Mudulood or Habar Gedir, were nothing sort of savages in the eyes of not only Somalis but the international community when they ransacked their own tribal city, Mogadishu, in the process killing, raping and looting other clans. So low did the savagery stoop, that men from the Hawiye clan divorced their wives from other clans so their clansmen could rape them, so low did they stoop that they occupied (till this day) homes in which they killed the former occupants.

A decent human being would be ashamed of such history but we can't be surprised of people who took a nation down 22 years of civil war, reason isn't for fighting other clans, but among themselves, only to come out of that war to govern a federal system would institutionalize their rank as number 2.
